Making It A Strategic Priority
Cota has formed various committees and task groups in the past that have done some good work in pulling together events to recognize staff, but feedback from staff in the 2015-2016 town hall sessions regarding the development of our new strategic plan highlighted both a desire and a challenge for Cota to do more. What staff were looking for was a sustained focus on staff recognition and wellness and more frequent and diversified events and initiatives. With this in mind, in the spring of 2016 we recruited a Director, Internal Engagement & Organizational Development.
Within the scope of this job description, they are directly responsible for developing and orchestrating Cota’s staff recognition and wellness initiatives. We did this to ensure that there is an ongoing intentional senior management focus on staff recognition and wellness. In addition, Cota has adopted Investing In Our Staff as a strategic pillar within our 2016-2017 strategic plan.
“Our committee goal is to create an environment at Cota where wellness is embedded in our culture and the way that we operate”
